King George - A Tribute to George Strait

Asleep at the Wheel has in return, been an opening act for Strait in later years.[28]"Amarillo by Morning," which tells the story of a Texas rodeo cowboy, was originally recorded and written by Terry Stafford in 1973. 
In 1982, Strait recorded the song with  a more Western-based instrumentation.
