The logo was designed by Edwin Guy Taylor of Denver. A contest was held through Public Service of Denver to come up with a new logo for the team. Taylor's submission was selected late in 1967 and adopted the next season. The navy blue jersey was worn as a primary home jersey from 1997 to 2011 before becoming an alternate jersey in 2012, while the orange jersey was introduced as an alternate in 2002 and became the primary home jersey in 2012.
